Last month Jodie from the Block team visited Glasgow International, Scotland’s largest festival for contemporary art. The festival takes place over three weeks every two years across the city of Glasgow.
“Renowned as a centre for contemporary art, the festival draws on the city’s strengths as a vibrant and distinctive centre of artistic production and display.” glasgowinternational.org
Here we share a few of Jodie's festival highlights, including the print above, part of a collection by recent Turner Prize nominee Ciara Phillips. The ‘Show Me Your Glow’ installation at Glasgow Print Studios combines text, photography and abstract forms to create work with a strong aesthetic and conceptual voice.

Tai Shani created a large-scale immersive installation that also functions as a site for performance at Tramway. With the bold colours and geometry of the Dark Continent set, you can see why it stood out as a highlight for us!
