Pegboard Advent Calendars are a sustainable way to count down to Christmas Day. The reusable advent calendar can be enjoyed year after year to store festive treats and surprises. We're sharing our tips for a homemade advent calendar to fit perfectly onto your Block Large Pegboard. If you have a Block Medium Pegboard click here for an alternative idea for smaller treats.

We have chosen kraft pillow boxes for our homemade advent calendar. They allow for larger treats and can be flat packed after use, ready to be filled up again next year.

We use our Hobbycraft stamp to add numbers while the pillow boxes are flat. Next partially assemble your pillow box, keeping one side half open to punch a hole ready to thread.

Using our Hobbycraft red and white twine we then thread through the hole ready to hang on our large Wooden Pegboard Pegs - in red for a festive pop against a White Pegboard.

All that's left to do is decide what to put into your DIY advent calendar pockets!
